The sample that stole the heart of the residents of Washington during the first two weeks of September comes on Tuesday to Grand Central Station in the Big Apple. “Discover Colombia through its heart”, will open on September 22nd in the station of Grand Central Terminal in New York and in the five districts.
The exhibit includes 47 big sized sculptures – seven interactive ones, 13 feet each, in the Vanderbilt Hall of Grand Central Terminal and 40 hearts, each one 8 feet in height, distributed through the streets and public schools of the city.
“The purpose of this interactive exhibition is to show the world the reality of Colombia”, affirmed Maria Claudia Lacouture, General Manager of Colombia es Pasion. “We want to change the way that the word sees us through this sample”
Each of theses small hearts is painted in an artistic way to outshine an unknown aspect of Colombia. The seven huge hearts are dedicated to the Colombian qualities that mostly surprise foreigners. The culture, the diversity, the hospitality of its people, the music, its personalities, the tranquility of its destinations and the development that its cities have experimented, are the themes in each one of them.
The campaign will include cultural and musical events and other educative programs, apart from a cup of the famous Colombian coffee, to give visitors the opportunity of learning more about our people and the Colombian culture.
The events around this sample include the possibility of obtaining a picture with the recognized personality of Juan Valdez, free flowers and to assist a concert from a group of Colombians.
